Hi Richard,

Thanks, that's valuable info, especially the cost details.

I got the CDI deck hardware kit for free with my CDi unit (it was a special).
When I got mine, all it included was a furling line (the one that wraps around
the drum), three plastic fairleads worth about $2.50 each, and a small
plastic horned cleat. I don't think it was worth $51. Maybe you get more
stuff in it now?

Also, if you don't convert your lapper for the CDI, does that mean you're not
going to use it anymore? Or will you re-install the old headstay every time
you want to use it.?

Regards,
Judy B.

From Sailrite:
7000 Flexible Furler FF1 $284.00
1393 Hardware kit $51.00
181 Luff Tape conversion, 12 ft $33.00
Shipping and handling $23.85
total $391.55

From West Marine
148" forestay, 1/8" 1 X19, sailmaker's eye on one end, open body turnbuckle
on the other with one end swaged to wire, the other end toggle jaw plus
shipping: $50.33

Total cost $441.88

Figure about one hour to install furler and one hour to install luff tape.
Will let you know actual time minus obligatory cursing and looking for
tools.
