I forgot to tell you the other part to this solution. Through the same
hobby stores you can buy a fitting that you mount to the side of a fuselage
(read that engine cover)with a hose connected to the tank. The kit also
contains a plug that you attach to the end of the hose coming from the pump.
The fitting is sealed until you plug the hose into it. They lock together
keeping the bay out of the gas, and the gas out of the bay. What doya think

Gadzooks!

That would definitely work. But you should have it hooked up full time... You
never now when the lil can is going to run empty... At the worst time! as
usual...

Ah! Now that system is complete it appears to be a good solution.

BTW:
I tried the hangin'oer stern wit gas can in hand trying to fill the lil
sucker... Got me into some awkward positions.<BG> Including... Swimming after
the boat... Once it got me on top of breakwater... But, that was a long old
story...

I still recommend a motor with fuel pump and separate gas can for anyone going
out in the ocean...
