In the effort to sail more frequently this year, I've purchaced a slip at our
local lake (Pineview Res.). This should allow us to hop into our potter on
our way home from work when the canyon thermals offer the best breeze. Until
now I hadn't considered using any bottom protection for fouling as I've
always been able to clean up "Gypsea" after she was back on the trailor at
the end of the day or weekend. Anyway, to get to the point, Do you feel
that a bottom paint as discussed would be preferable to something like a
clear soft-wax coating for a potter sitting in a freshwater lake all summer.
West marine sells a product called EasyOn Bottom Coating which is a soft-wax
coating that claims to do the trick.
Any advise on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
