Joel,
There is nothing like the old standby of 2-3 coats of Spar Varnish. Some are
advocates of the later products like a PolyUrethtane. You might consider asking
what IM is using, it seems to hold up well on my rudder, which I touched up with
Spar Varnish after some changes in Hardware.
