Pardon a first timer. By way of introduction, my name is Bill Payne*, I
bought an'81 Potter-15 2 weeks ago in AZ and pulled it back to Yucaipa, CA
(near Riverside ((which has no river))). The trailer has been preped for a
trip to Camden, Maine starting in mid May; the return trip will be through
Seattle. I am currently cleaning and upgrading the boat.
First consideration: all lines to the cockpit-
Many of you have this modification.
Do you put the sheets through blocks on the cockpit roof and back to
cleats? Has anybody brought the sheets back down the mast and then out to
cockpit blocks?
Do you move the handrails outboard and run the lines between the handrails
and the hatch?
Does anybody have West Marine stock numbers for equipment.
* I'm retired, just returning from 3 years in Japan. Saw the Potter ad
back in the '60 and thought it would be a great, versitile boat to sail.
I'm trying to sell my Yamaha 21 in Osaka now - in case you have any
leads...
