Hi John, I use two sail stoppers on Sunshine, one above the boom to keep
the slugs from falling out . a n the other below the boom to keep it at a
proper level when the sail is lowered. These thinge always seem to fall in
the drink so it's nice to have an extra one. As far as the beaching rudders
go, the line to lower runs between the plates. But I still have to use a
paddle to help lower it, don't use your whisker pole, they sink. I found out
last weekend that I.M. is using thicker plates on the new beaching rudders.
So if anyone has bent plates from hard use call I.M. and order a pair of
thicker ones. Jerry Barrilleaux HMS 18 # 48 Sunshine
