There is a guy, whose name I forget, who sailed a P-14 with the Southern
Cal Potterers when they existed. He was a really good sailor whose
Potter looked like a blue water cruiser partly because he kept his gas
can lashed to the foredeck. Anyway, he had 3 reef points in his main
and always, I am told, sailed with his genoa. When he needed to reduce
sail, he always took in as many, 1 to 3, reefs in the main as he
needed. Maybe Dennis Farrell could shed some light on this guy. Or
maybe he is here...
