I'm not much of a sailor, but I use it as a furler all the time. I
sail on the SF Bay, and the winds can change from a chaotic 5 knots
to a howling 25 knots in a thousand yards, and it is *really*
convenient to be able to roll up the lapper to a more managable
size...
