Betty,
Randy tells me that the trick is not to be claustrophobic, small enough
to wiggle underneath the cockpit seats, have a water bottle and a wobbly
socket to get the cleat loosened, with someone outside to hold the cleat
steady.

He, being the less claustrophobic and small enough to wiggle (hmmm) did
the honors to allow us to remove and refurbish the wooden rails and one
cleat on the stern. If there is other damage, you might need to do
something else, but Judy B will probably have a solution for that.
