This area is ideal for pottering, but

broken stern cleats while maintaining integrity. It looks to us like you
might have to take them off with a hack saw. But how do you get them back
on without cutting into the hull? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

out on Puget Sound. Was out four days in a row last week out of Des Moines
and had some great sailing. Was over to 20 degrees but was on a great port
tack from Tramp Harbor to seahurst beach north of Pt Pully (three tree
point) for 2 hours. Was moving , seemed like 7 knots and just kept pointing
higher and higher while sailing herself, tiller tamer tightened down and me
on the bow, I was alone , and beautiful sunny day. I could have made Alki
in just a little while but had a phone call on cel and had to head back-
Dad duties. On trip back I reached back and forth going down and felt like
10 knots just flying-had pike pole tied to mast and to bottom point of geneo.
very impressed with my boat.

sawzall thru cleat through bolts while not touching boat , may have to cut
into old cleat, and then replace cleat and ss thru bolts and bed them in
some 5200 or sealant goop. Be sure you get it all over your hands or your
not working hard enough.
