Hello Everyone!

I've just stepped in from the wings and have become the proud owner of a
1983 Potter 15, #1252. Just got back from driving down to the =
California
wine country, with my daughter, to pick the boat up. I'm looking =
forward to
putting the boat in the water soon, assuming the weather cooperates. It
looks to be in good shape structurally and cosmetically, needs a little =
TLC
and some "spit and polish" but other than that it looks like I can be
sailing soon. I plan to have the boat thoroughly checked out but had a
couple of questions for the group.

I've noticed that the centerboard has some rust on it. Can one easily
remove the centerboard? It appears to be notched and that with a little
maneuvering could be removed. Am I right about this or am I missing
something? Is the best bet to then get it galvanized?

Secondly, the boat doesn't currently have a bowsprit. I'd like to =
install
one. Is this a difficult job to do?

Thirdly, I'm interested in operating the mainsheet from the stern. Has
anyone come up with a simple, workable way of doing this?

I'm sure I will have many more questions as I get into this more.
