Hamada had a different backstay adjuster when I bought it, one of
those setups that has a couple blocks on the OUTSIDE of the
bridle that is brought down and squeezes the backstay bridle in the
process. I did the current setup my own self from stuff I had laying
around . . . doesn't do an awful lot with the humongous mast
section that I have. Also, I have a semi short rig, my mast
measures 21' long as oposed to the 22' on the current boats. The
boat was rigged with 1/8" 7X19 wire as well . . . . I re rigged the
whole thing with 1/8" 1X19 wire.
