Ahoy Potter People,

Some time ago, there was a thread about the type of foam we use on =
the Potter Boats for flotation. We have been very busy meeting deadlines =
for owners waiting patiently for their new boats, and have finally put =
something together for your information. We use only Coast Guard =
approved, fire retardant, CLOSED CELL POLYURATHANE FOAM that will not =
absorb water. The foam is a two pound-two part foam that is poured into =
molds that take on the shape of the hull to optimize space. This is the =
only foam that is currently Coast Guard approved for boat flotation, and =
is being used for military applications in boats, and docks. If you have =
any direct questions, feel free to contact Randy Aldridge at Ashland =
Chemical, and he will be happy to answer any, and all questions you may =
have. He can be reached at 800 540 0377.=20
