Ah, Bill. There are at least 2 other GUINNESS breweries in the western
world. The largest (of all) is at Park Royal in West London, UK. There is
another in the Cameroons, Africa, a bit south of UK but not far from the
Greenwich meridian so I think that counts as 'western'.

Guinness gets its colour from roasted barley used as part of the grist.
Otherwise the brewing principle is much as for any other top brewed beer.
That excludes the bottom-brewed beers like lagers and most US beers. BTW,
Arthur Guinness has been using the same yeast since the 1760s. More is
produced with each brew.
