Thanks for the kind words. Even though we contracted out the addition,
we have had much more to do than I considered. Right now, my hands ache
from hours of using paint brushes and rollers (which is why we only got
to sail one day last weekend), and we've moved many hundreds of pounds of
furniture and misc stuff all over the house to get it out of the way.

The benefit to all of this is that soon I'll have a very low-maintenance
house. My oldest appliance is about seven years old (dryer), but most are
less than three. I have maintenance-free siding, a new roof, new driveway,
and fresh interior everything (or will, once we're done). The only thing
I'll have to do is cut grass and paint a wee amount of exterior trim.

Which will, of course, leave more time for sailing. I'm just having to pay
for that time in advance. I just looked at a calendar - seven more weeks
until the Apostles Island trip.
