Ken - I keep the stock hatch board on the starboard side of the cabin
ladder. There is a recess there (and one to port), between the foam pod
and the starboard
berth. It sits on edge and is completely out of the way, and stays put.

Sorry we missed the PY's at Woodard Res. Lisa had to set up her MFA show.
It was terrific. I did boat repairs over the weekend.

Judy - I used marine-tex to fix the sole of the liner around the mast post
and made a footing around the post base about 1 1/2" high to keep the
water from getting at the post. I'll report on how it works out. I plan
to look for the mats you spoke of as well as try again with the weather
stripping around the centerboard trunk.

All - I worked on the rudder today and found most of the cheak plate bolts
to be loose. I tightened these and the pivot bolt. I added and bungee
cord which hooks to the lower gudgeon mount and loops through the bowline
that attaches the pull down line to the pad eye on the lower rudder
segment. We played with it and it worked really well.
