Hi Ray I just put a hatch in my boat it worked out grate. I put down 2in
masking tape and did my layout on the tape use a saber saw with a metel
cuting blade put tape across the cut in several places to hold the hatch up
after you remove it I drilled a 1in hole in it. If you drill the hole first
you could hold it up yourself. I used 1in 1/8 alu across each corner of hole
to hold up the hatch two screws and nuts each. Took about 1/2 hr for the
whole project.
