I cut a 12 x 12" hole about 4" fwd of Potti with a jig saw. Used piece I cut
as a hatch by drilling a 1" hole in it, screwed single tangs crosswise on
each corner to hold hatch. Just place hatch in hole and you are done. Has
worked great so far. I can even sit on it and I never had to crawl in there
to mess with it...

My series 29 battery is in center up there.
