I recently upgraded to a 4-stroke motor. I have three plastic Gas tanks that
had 50 to one mixture in them. I want to use the same tanks with just
straight fuel now. My question is what should I rinse the tanks with to rid
it of the oil residue or is it only necessary to rinse with a little
gasoline? Also the dealer I bought the motor from (West Marine) told me it
was ok to use standard car oil instead of the oil they say to use in the
manual. Has anyone with a 4stroke done this? Any problems?
