Ken. My doctor said that sailing is good for your health. I used to
trailer my P.14 to work so I could get in some sailing when I got off. The
trouble with a P.15 is it only holds a couple of passengers. And people have
to experience this boat to really appreciate it's virtues. As far as weight
goes, lead is seven times heavier than water, so it takes up much less space.
I have a 15 pound lead triangle in the bottom of the forepeak with an anchor
and chain sitting on top of it. I installed this over twenty years ago and
never take it out. I have also added weight to my P.19 as well and find that
it helps performance on both boats. Last month we had a three mile upwind
Potter race on the Delta. My son was sailing the little Potter,he came in
third overall. He beat 5 P.15's and 4 P.19's and a Montgomery 17. Properly
set up, Potters ain't slow! Jerry Barrilleaux Sunshine & Breezy
