In the early 70's, was a dealer for Coastal Recreation which built
the Balboa 26, the Balboa 20, and the Ensenada 20. The
Ensenada was simply a Balboa 20 hull with a different
deck/cabinarrangement and different layout in the cabin. It also
lacked the quality of the Balboa line of boats, hence the different
name. I was certainly glad when we sold our floor model, and
definately didn't order another one. The Balboas were a different
story, good, sturdy, quality boats at the beginning, but as is usual,
quality dropped as time went on. I lived aboard Balboa 26 #212 for
4 years until moving aboard my Islander 33. Great boat.
