We will see what happens this time:

My P19 has the factory jiffy reefing system, and I do it just as you
all have described, except that I don't bother with the topping
lift, and, like you, Harry, I never put any reefing lines in the
main, so I never tie up the sail.

However, the current factory reef points for the main are not
anywhere neeeear as deep as the reef points I have seen, for
example, on Jerry's boat. So a while back I had another set of reef
points put in the sail. The factory set are about 2 feet from the
foot of the sail, the new ones are about 4 feet above the foot.

However, I have not yet installed more hardware on the boom, and I
probably won't until I get a pop-rivet gun, which, given the
construction of the boat, might be a good thing to get...

Anyway, what would be the best way to use that extra set of reef
points, given that I don't have the hardware for jiffy reefing set
up?
