Top of the list: Honda 2 four stroke at 28 pounds and incredibly dependable.
New ones even have clutches and Forward and Reverse.

What would be best avoided: Any outboard weighing in at more than 35
pounds--too heavy on the transom for good boat performance. Any outboard
named after a klutzy sea bird (Albatross, Blue Footed Booby, Seagull, etc.).
Smoking is bad for your health and the health of the lakes and air.

NOTICE TO ALL! ONLY 23 DAYS 'TILL WE MEET AT TAHOE! THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS!
