Why not just pull the rudder out after each sail? That's what I do with my
1988 p-15 which is moored, in fresh water. Will you be sleeping on the
boat? If yes, it stows nicely in the cockpit, rudder down, tiller up, aft.
The boom will also fit in the cabin if you take off the gooseneck (I do it
while sitting in the cockpit so as not to LOSE anything over the
side/dock).

We have loose teenagers sometimes on the docks at our marina in the summer
so I find that the less stuff you leave out on the boat the less stuff you
end up having to replace when it is "lost". All I leave out is the mast,
halyards, topping lift and vang line. The outboard stays on the mount but
I have it locked on with a long wide Kryptonite bike lock.
