I'm sure you're right. I'm not a fisherman and my experience is limited to
the one time my wife and I decided to cook some crabs (a crab?) that we
caught on our seawall when we were living in Florida. We felt guilty enough
throwing a live crab into boiling water even though death was obviously
instantaneous. I know I'm too squeamish to do it the slow way.
