I humbly suggest that rather than carrying spare bearings and races (which
are a bitch to install at home) you carry a complete lubed hub assembly.
That way if your bearings fail all you need do is remove the whole assembly
and stick in the spare one. That will save a lot of hammering, cursing,
sweating and pain of beating races out (you cannot replace a failed bearing
onto old races).
