Sounds like St. Elmo's fire, I've heard of it running like blue flames
in the rigging of old sailing ships. Airplanes can have the same
phenomena, pilots have panicked and crashed thinking there engine cowl
was on fire. My boss added little high tech tails (carbon fiber?) to
dissipate the charge off the plane. Sure am enjoying the news group.
