You raise a good point about placement if the mast slot opening. I have
been wondering why the slot is placed so high above the boom The way it
comes from the factory one has to do a lot of fiddling around to reef
the main down tight to the boom. Plus try and keep the sail from falling
out of the slot.
You can bet that my mast will be converted tomorrow.
