Agreed! (I leave my motor on the transom while trailering, but that's another story) It's also reasonable to assume if there's someone in the cockpit, the bow of the P-15 would be more stable. It's a 500 lb. boat, the human cargo is the most significant weight in the boat by far (especially if your human cargo is a big Nordic fellow named Lars!).
My comments were intended to say "the P-19 is stable" not the P-15 is unstable. But while you mention it, it does make a good little ship for playing Pirate!
