My P19 originally had no seal at all, and no lockdown system, and I'd take
on a fair amount of water in any chop.

I bought some 3/8 x 1/4 " foam self-adhesive weatherstripping and put it
along the underside of the top trim piece of the daggerboard. That
eliminated 99.9% of all leakage, much to my delight. I figured it would
>reduce< the leakage, but this worked better than I ever imagined.

I'm leaking a little more these days, of course, but hopefully that 4" rip
in the front of my keel trunk will be gone by tomorrow and I'll be back to
sealed sailing :)
