One of the concerns about having the prop too deep in heavy seas is
that the motor casing can get buried in a following wave. This
happened to me, once. On the upswing the prop would come out of the
water (I do have a long shaft). Interestingly enough, the motor
didn't quit even though it was actually almost submerged for
about a second....
