We had the same problem of the P-15's bolt rope jamming in the slot below the
mast opening when the main was doused.

Since our mast and boom stay up all season, we solve the problem seasonally,
by wrapping a couple of layers of duct tape around the mast at the lower part
of the sail feed opening, after the boom is on. We wrap a narrower piece of
duct tape vertically around the tape at the opening itself to make a slide
for the bolt rope to slip out. Works fine. At season's end we cut the tape,
remove it, and use Goo Gone or similar to take adhesive off mast.

We don't use a sail feeder, but I think the tape >might< work OK with one.
Maybe others on the list with feeders will comment. For those who step their
mast each outing, I hope a better solution will be posted -- we'll use it too.
