The only time that mine leaks is in a really gnarlly chop. I have
experienced this a few times in the Sea of Cortez, but never leaked
after installing the gasket . . . . small price to pay. My housing is
like the one on Jerrys' boat if I remember correctly, very long,
transverse bracing, but mine is all wood, no glass other than where
it is tabbed to the hull and on the wood joints.
