<< I don't think the keel *trunk leaks*. I think it would be more precise to
say that the *keel acts like a pump* water by creating temporary small areas
of very high pressure and that *position of the keel* is critical to prevent
it from creating permanent areas of high pressure.

You might notice that water squirts up front of trunk and rarely up back end
of it. This may have something to do with that square front part of keel.
Rather than flowing around it water gets pushed up and over that part.
Methinks?
Has anyone rounded out that square front keel section?
