Tom and gang,

I replaced my winch rope with another about a year after I
bought my boat, and after a year took it off and replaced it
with the web strap. Bought at BOATUS for $5 or $6. I tied it
on thru a side hole and carefully wound it on. MUCH preferred
over the rope which kept tangling up with itself and locking
up. Override I think it's called. Recommend the web strap.
