Sr. Gordon:

The possible advantages of your lanteen / gunter rigging
when negotiating the New York Barge Canal bridges and locks
(about 12' clearance) and other limited-clearance water is
very interesting.

Could the "stock" main be rigged to a
short-mast-and-gunter-yard structure -- or do we need to get
/ have it made specially for the rig?

Also, do you use the standard stepping for your mast, or
have multiple step points for it, and do you need/use stays
for it?

Hmmm. Sounds as if I'm asking for a short course in design
and a lot of your time. Perhaps you could just point me to
a good source to do some basic research on these topics?

Thanks for listening,
