Please drop me a note describing your experiences with the "right" outboard
motor for your "19". I just purchased a "19" with a Sears Gamefisher 3hp.
I also have a British Seagull "featherweight 40". I am considering
buying a 4-stroke 5 to 9.9 hp for environmental and noise benefits. Anyone
out there with comments? Thanks in advance. >>

You need to indicate in above where you sail. Lake, Bay, Lagoon, Canal,
Ocean, etc.

A 3hp is adequate for pushing you off the dock in a lake. Totally inadequate
in a lagoon, canal or ocean. Suicidal to use on an ocean inlet.

Give us more data.

I sail ocean and ride inlets so I need more than a 5 plus I like an
alternator. I use a Nissan 8HP with alternator. ( a 300 buck option )
