John:
I do not have a WW Potter, but I do sail on Lake Mead. On your way through
you may want to stop and give Lake Mead a try. Lake Mead is made up of four
large lakes that are connected by narrows. One can sail up into the Grand
Canyon, about 75 miles by water, or you can sail up to Overton which is
about 60 miles from the Hoover Dam.

The weather this time of year is great. The water temperature is 82
degrees, and the daytime highs are in the mid 90's. Nights are cooling down
to the high 60's. October is the best time of the year to sail Lake Mead.
We have warm weather until December.

There are many coves that are great anchorage's on the lake. The Lake Mead
Sailing Club (formerly the McGreggor Club) sponsors a trip to the Grand
Canyon every spring.

Let me know if you want more information on the Lake.

Rich
