Its not about sailing but they are making a movie about a book I read
called
"The perfect storm". Its mainly about a fishing trawler on the Grand
Banks,but also includes other boats and a rescue attempt to save them in a
major storm. There is one sailboat in it.It is major production. I have
always wished someone would make a movie about the first circumnavigation
single handed race from England.The book about it "The Longest Race" was
perfect for a movie. Several different boats.Lots of drama and some
eccentric characters.A deranged man eventually jumping into the sea.
Shipwrecks and harrowing sailing in the southern ocean. Maybe I will e-mail
Steven Speilberg!
