Hi- I'm Richard Preston from Gilsum New Hampshire. I recently bought a
1980 P15 #1033-Pot O Gold from John and Judy McCain in Texas. I met
John and Judy in Luray Virginia and towed here home from there. I have
been sailing on Lake Sunapee on the last 3 weekends. I've been having a
great time! I am new to sailing. I did take a beginner ASA sailing
course at the International Sailing School on Lake Champlain over Labor
Day weekend.I have a lot of questions-but I'll only ask a few at a time.

Are there any Potter owners out there near me?

I have a lot of jury rigged fittings on my boat. I am replacing the
turnbuckle on the forstay. How tight should the forestay be ? Mine seems
loose with the turnbuckle turned all the way in. I believe you would
call my rig a simulated gaff rig.
