trailering a potter 15 or 19...where does motor go?

Folks,
I am a new Potter owner. IM told me today to remove
the outboard motor from the transom bracket and stow
it when trailering. "The vibrations shakes things
loose." This seems like a lot of trouble, and I see
lots of boats with their outboards in place whilst
motoring down the highway. Comments?
