The Siren 17 went out of production in the mid-80s due to too
much Canadian government intervention in business practice (this
according to MacGruer, the owner of the company.) It has not been
reborn on this side of the Atlantic, though when I was in Italy a
few months back I saw dead ringers for Sirens there.
