Actually, I did! I had to reformat my hard drive when I thought I had a
problem with my notebook 'puters drive. Then I found that it wasn't the hard
drive, but the hard drive controller, so I had to send it back to Gateway. I
needed a desktop anyway, so I went out and bought a Compaq. After getting it
set up and running, I found it had a problem! They exchanged it for a newer
model, but now I had to reinstall all my stuff for the third time! BTW, when
the notebook came back from Gateway, it hadn't been fixed properly and I had
to return it to them AGAIN!
Now I think I'm up and running. The notebook is OK and the desktop is all
set up and running.
I didn't write this so that you would feel sorry for me, but that's OK too,
if you'd like to say, "Awww, poor boy." Probably won't do much good, but a
little sympathy and love are always welcome.
I wrote this as an excuse. This is why Bill Paynes photos never got sent. I
still have the photos, but I don't have the list of who'd like them E-mailed.
If you still want them, please let me know.
One last request. Just because I've had a little frustration with Gateway
and Compaq, PLEASE don't start telling me I should'a had a Mac! I think I'm
going to sign off and cry. Later.
