I bought a a stainless steel hook from west marine and mounted it to the
mast. The combination of the two different metals very quickly potmarked the
mast. I was amazed how fast this happened. I had to by a special solution to
pour over the screw to prevent this (also available at west marine). If you
go this route make sure you line it up right or the sail will be out of
shape a little. I made the mistake of mounting it to far away from the sail
track.
