WOW! I didn't know my HMS 18 weighed so much. I think I'll have to eat
some of my Beef Stew Ballast. A couple of years ago I was pulling Sunshine
over the Altamont Pass on a hot day, about three miles from the summit my
wimpy Mercury overheated. the water had boiled out of the radiator, so I
filled it up with water from my ice chest. I got another two miles when she
boiled over again, but this time I was out of water. All I had was a case of
beer, so guess what I filled the radiator with? When I was almost ready to
roll a Highway Patrol officer pulled up. It took him awhile to buy my story
about all the empty beer cans.
Now I have a 1986 Ford Hippie Van with a tow package.
