Hi Scott:
Get a 4 pound Fortress or Guardian (all aluminimum anchors). Use it awhile
as your primary anchor. After you're satisfied that it's better than any
traditional anchor in sand, and adequate (with the mud palms installed) in
soft bottoms, get a second (2 lb size this time) and get rid of the 8
lbDanforth. Use the saved weight to accomodate more line.
