I also have a 2 hp Honda and am very satisfied with it. Mine is the long
shaft version and I had a problem getting it to tilt enough to get it out of
the water. The solution was to adjust the motor mount. My mount tilted
backward and to get the motor to the point where the propeller shaft was
parallel to the water surface I had to put the motor angle adjustment bolt in
the last notch (the sternmost notch ). This limited the amount of tilt and
left the prop in the water.

I adjusted the mount so that it was more vertical and was able to move the
motor angle adjustment bolt to the second to the last notch. Now the motor
tilts well out of the water. My Potter has a Fulton adjustable mount with a
hard rubber pad bolted to a metal frame. The motor attaches to the pad. I
just slipped a wooden shingle between the rubber pad and the frame to get the
pad to be closer to vertical.
