I've thought about that, and I'm thinking that hinges should stay where
they're at - i think it will make rough-weather sail changes easier (from
inside the hatch). >>

How about decoupling hinges in front and back. That way when anchored you
could face hatch so it scoops air? Saw it on a Cal 25 flushdecker once.
