I used an ell at bottom of cockpit and a straight thru hull.
Connected with clear plastic hose. I chose clear which isn't as
strong as heater hose, but I can check for obstructions (bees,
leaves, etc.) and the old 3/" clear hose in mine was still good
after 9 years. Drains much faster and hopefully won't get
stopped so quickly. I'm sure it still isn't big enough to drain
a large following sea, so I will head upwind. <BG> Actually my
main concern is water in cockpit when in trailer or at slip.
This system works for me. If I start getting flooded cockpits I
will probably take up knitting.
