Hi Bruce,
My boom has a wooden knob that fits into the end of the boom and is held
there with scres thru the aluminum into the wood. The knob has a hole in
it goes top to bottom and is rounded like a block would be.
the outhaul is thread thru this knob-hole and then runs forward to a ajm
cleat along the bottom of the boom. Seems to work just fine.
Only problem is....you must remove the gooseneck to be able to fit the
boom in the cabin...not a big deal really.
